Lovely snowy evening here in downtown Quincy IL. I'd like to just curl up in a little ball, watch the snow through the window, and just drift off, but no, not today. Inspired by the successful, action oriented day that [personal profile] auntiemeesh had, I'm going to go address everyone's Christmas Cards now.

Most of you are getting a little something from me in celebration of the bank refunding our two thousandish bucks. I felt like it was only right to share with those of you who have proven to be real friends :) Some of you I had no idea what to get for, so, apologies if you get something thats somewhat impersonal.

Don't worry, I'm doing good/charitable stuff with some of the refund too. This all seems only right, especially at this time of year.

Off I go...

Goodness! You are a nice person! Ignore those who say differently.

And the snow sounds lovely. :)

*nudges* And you haven't commented on either of my LJs recently. ;) Of course, I have been hiding out. So haven't been doing that much, either.

Alas, I didn't attend the AG meeting tonight. Just wasn't up to it. Very cold and rainy here, with thunder and lightening! The later is not supposed to happened in December! At any rate, Alan and I will have to exchange "prisoners" later.

Are you guys still coming down here after Christmas? It would be great to see y'all. :)

I'd like to get y'all presents as well, but as I am not sure, you might get a gift card. Let me know if you have a preference for B&N or Border's. My gift cards are always practical--everyone needs more books, music, and vids. ;)

Apologies to Mr. Frost but...

The snow is lovely, fluffy, but not deep...

but I have promises to keep...

and envelopes to address before I sleep...

and stamps to lick before I sleep...

Rachel is there now. She is at the Atlanta HP meeting. I'm here till the 27th. Maybe give her a call and you could do lunch this week or something.

Yours is one present I have NOT gotten yet and I dono if I will get it before we come down... if not I will mail it to you.

Call me and tell me what to get for Mike... I have no clue...

Thank goodness Mr. Frost is sleeping under that poetical blanket of snow! LOL!

I'll give her a call. Don't know what my schedule might be, though.

Mike can be a difficult to buy for. I usually get him clothes. Our tastes in books, music, and vids is a little different, to say the least. That's why I often fall back on gift cards. :) If you seriously want to know, jeans in 40 waist and 32 length. Darker the wash the better.

And, mmm, Barnes and Noble or Borders?

*sigh* In the way of DW stuff, I want the Professor Yana action figure, or the Utopia gift set, but both are impossible. The Prof only comes one to a box or case or something like that, or so my email from WhoNA says. I'm going to order from the UK after the hols, I guess.

Audio books put me to sleep. A word to the wise.

So what would you and Rachel like for a prezzie?

And I see now that you did reply to a post on the 7th on the other LJ, but I have not replied back. My bad. :(

Note the icon. ;)

I DO reply to your stuff, its just... deep for me sometimes. I'm not very action figure oriented, and while I like SW I'm nowhere NEAR a fan of your level.

That is why I don't often reply. I'm far better at replying to someone like Vikki when she's freaking out over something, cause I understand what shes going through cause usually sometime in my life i've freaked over the same damn thing! LOL.

Audio Books put you to sleep... hmmmmmmmmmm. Well, HELL, I guess you don't want those B7 Audio's then? (Good thing I didn't order them, though, I'm sure we could have found them a home!)

(You know, you really should just open a messenger once a week and say Boo, it'd be a lot less playing tag here LOL... Or call even I suppose... then again, a little tag never hurt anyone...)

Hmm, prolly a gift card for Mike...

Ask Rachel which. We have neither within 2 hours, but I think one of them also owns Waldenbooks and I assume there is a Waldenbooks in the mall... i dono, i've never been in our mall (see post about being a hermit!)

I dono WHAT Rachel wants TBH.

Me? Hmm, maybe a game of some sort... haven't honestly thought about it. Been meaning to get Illuminati or Talisman, but neither or exactly cheap, so whatever is fine with me really.

But, it's entirely possible that Rachel is buying me one of those too...

Too deep? *is confuzzled*

Okay, I know that not everyone is into collecting action figures. :) I collect them for Lotr, SW, and DW. :)

You think that I'm an intense SW fangirl? I'm flattered. Most SW fans could put me in the shade very easily. However, in one form or another, the OT has been a part of my life since it first came out. ANH is stil one of the best SF movies ever made, IMHO. And RotS got me back into the online fandom, and it's a wonderful movie. :)

I don't tend to use LJ as a personal diary. I really don't feel the need to bore people stiff with my personal problems. I post a little of that, but not much. Learned my lesson on that long ago, as most people don't care. I'm sympathetic when friends post about their problems, of course, but I guess I don't want to burden them with mine.

I used to live on the various instant messanger thingys, but haven't done any of that in dogs' years. Chatting takes up too much time, alas. And besides, my poor ole fingers tire quickly. I should call, I know. I have a good calling plan, too. The last few months of family issues and being sick all the time has made me more like a hermit than ever. I need to work on that in the new year.

I shouldn't post silly stuff. Mike would like the Disney Peter Pans movies, as I know that's one thing he doesn't have.

Scratch the book gift card idea, then. Might have to just shop after Christmas.

There is a Waldenbooks in our mall in Quincy, so Borders would probably be better. Have to get shopping, need to get your present hon, along with everybody else's.
